Deli Assistants required in Portlaoise – A full & a part-time position available
We are recruiting for deli assistants to work in a local family business.
A 3 day and a 5 day position are available.
The roles will include:
Duties include;
- Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner providing an exceptional standard of customer service;
- Ensuring food hygiene practices comply with HACCP regulations;
- Assisting customer with deli choices & advising on food allergens;
- Ensuring Deli area and equipment is kept clean and presentable at all times;
- Ensuring cleaning is carried out as per company policies;
- Ensuring food is displayed in line with food hygiene and merchandising policy;
- Stock rotation and minimising waste;
- Assisting in the kitchen when required;
The successful person will possess the following skills;
- The ability to work as part of a team;
- Friendly personality
- The ability to use initiative;
- Good attention for detail;
- Reliable / dependable
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene would be beneficial however, training will be given
- Barista experience / an interest in coffee would be beneficial but not required
Requirements:
- Previous deli/hospitality experience
- Must be available to work midweek and weekend shifts – morning / day time hours – no evening shifts
- Bright, cheerful personality
These are both permanent roles which would not suit summer/weekend availability only.
