Those with an interest, aptitude and suitable qualification will be interested in applying to project manage the 2019 Creative Ireland Programme in Laois.
The Arts Office at Laois County Council has issued an invitation to tender for such a position and the closing date for receipt of proposals is Thursday, April 11 at 4.30pm.
Shortlisting will take place and interviews will be held the following Wednesday, April 17. The commencement of the contract will take place in early May.
‘A Sense of Place’ is the theme chosen for the Laois Creative Ireland Plan for 2018 to 2022. The Laois culture and creativity strategy envisages a county where culture and creativity are recognised as integral to life
Key aspects for 2019 include assisting in the administering of community bursaries, Cruinniú na nÓg, assisting in the establishment of a Film Laois Office and delivery of key elements of the Creative Ireland Laois Strategy 2018-2022, as well as incorporating elements of the Creative Ireland objectives into the Laois Arts programme, for example the Summer Arts Programme, Leaves Festival of Writing and Music, the Laois School of Music and Music Generation Laois.
The services required of the successful tenders will include the implementation of a communication strategy; assist and advise on project development; monitoring and evaluating projects and to liaise on an ongoing basis with the Laois Culture Team.
The position offered is on a contract basis for 12 months and may be extended subject to review and funding.
The successful contractor can work from their own base but office space is available at the Laois Arthouse in Stradbally.
