Gardai are investigating following two separate incidents in Ballyfin in recent days.
Just last night, Ballyfin Community Alert is reporting that there was an attempted break in last night at house in Irey Ballyfin.
The alarm went off and woke the family at 5.30am this morning but nothing was taken.
On Sunday, a jeep was stolen from a farm yard in Irey, Ballyfin while the owner was milking his cows.
This was a Toyota Landcruiser stolen and it was taken around 10.30am. It has a Registration number 05 WW 2196.
A child car-seat in the back of the jeep, along with a Bott In-vehicle tool chest containing a large amount of mechanics handtools and a Rescue Starter Pack was also stolen.
Meanwhile, a car with a Laois registration was involved in a car-jacking recently.
A 191 LS car was at the centre of that hi-jacking where a woman was held at knife point.
A woman was left badly shaken after a carjacking in Co. Kildare on Tuesday morning.
Gardaí in Naas are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened in Kill, Co Kildare, shortly before 7am.
The woman, who is in her 40s, was flagged down by a man as she approached a roundabout on Bothar Philip near Kill.
She spoke with the pedestrian who then threatened her at knifepoint before making off in her car, a Blue Hyundai Tucson.
It is understood the car was driven in the direction of the N7 (northbound). Gardaí said that the woman, although not physically harmed, was left badly shaken by the incident.
The car has yet to be recovered and no arrests have yet been made. Gardaí say the pedestrian was wearing a high-vis jacket when he approached the car and may have been involved in a single-car collision on the Straffan road a short time earlier.
