We’re just over a month away from Christmas now and you are already inundated with ads for the festive season.
But if you take a close look at one of the ones on TV at the moment, you will spit a very familiar face.
Michéal Fleming from The Swan in Laois is the main character in the new eir ad.
The eir ‘Bring Epic with you this Christmas’ sees Fleming struggling with all his bags and then missing his train.
Using his phone, he ends up wedged in a taxi and then on a bus watching a rugby match on his phone as he attempts to make his way home.
The bus eventually pulls up at a house – but we’re fairly sure that it isn’t in the Swan!
Fleming, who also plays football for St Joseph’s, has talents that are not just confined to acting either.
He previously wrote a movie which managed to scoop three awards at the eclectic Underground cinema Short Film festival.
‘Vegetable’ – written by Michéal who owns SwanDive Productions – won Best Horror and Best Make-Up, with Michael Browne taking the honours.
To top off the SwanDive production’s success, Vegetable has been selected as part of the Rome Prisma Film Awards this November.
