A local TD is set to host a public meeting with school leavers and parents about how to manage stress during the Leaving Cert year, among other topics.
Deputy Fiona O’Loughlin is hosting a public meeting for school leavers in Portarlington in the Community Centre on Thursday, October 4 at 7.30pm.
A place to gather information
A panel of speakers will give information about apprenticeships, grants, career prospects and how to manage stress during the Leaving Cert year.
All school leavers and parents are invited to attend.
Deputy O’Loughlin, who is Chair of the Oireachtas Education and Skills Committee, said: “I am looking forward to hosting this public meeting in Portarlington on Thursday evening.
“The Leaving Cert year can be stressful for students and parents so it’s good to gather as much information as you can at the beginning of the school year.
“Everyone is welcome on the night to attend and get the information most important to them.”
