The M7 northbound has reopened at J15 Ballybrittas after Gardai dealt with an incident.
The incident is believed to have involved a horsebox and car and there were massive tailbacks along the road.
Alternative route
Drivers were asked to divert off the motorway here and take the Old Dublin Rd (R445) before rejoining at J14 Monasterevin.

This is the second time the motorway has been closed recently, with a crash at Junction 16 last week.
Cllr Tom Mulhall said there is “serious traffic” in the area.
“There is a high volume of traffic on the R445 into Ballybrittas. Drivers would be advised to avoid Ballybrittas, if they can,” he said.
