A new theatre and performance-art group is in the process of being established in Portlaoise.
Kiki Theatre and Performance Group is a non-profit organisation that aims to provide and perform drama to a very high standard. When full established, it intends to take on new challenging shows and projects.
The group is now looking for people of all ages and abilities from all parts of LAois to play active roles in helping to create the new venture.
The group will be involved in performances such as theatre, street theatre, creativity, expression, exploring imagination and will be willing to push the boundaries within creativity, confidence and ability. If you are interested in gaining experience with live performances, street theatre, theatre, festivals, backstage, scenic design and creation, prop building, stage management, costume, lighting, special effects, public relations and marketing, and are willing to give up a few hours a week, you are invited to join.
An introductory and information evening will be held in Treo Nua, Portlaoise Resource Centre, Harpur’s Lane, Knockmay, Portlaoise on Friday 20 January at 7 pm.
