At long last, the thaw is underway in Laois.
Since Tuesday night, all of us have been covered in a blanket of the white fluffy stuff.
The snow came down and then when Storm Emma arrived on Thursday, it created massive snow drifts.
Some as high as eight feet were recorded in parts of the county.
We came to a standstill then on Friday and for much of Saturday as the roads became completely impassable.
And while we were all basically housebound, the people of Laois created some brilliant images of snowmen, igloos and much more which we documented on our website over the various days.
But now we bring you video footage of three parts of the county as you have never seen it before.
Martin Maher took drone footage of Portarlington which is simply stunning and can be viewed here:
We also have footage from Saturday morning in Stradbally.
This should be viewed in 4K for the highest quality as the drone takes you on a tour from the Windy Gap to the top of the town.
While the next two videos come courtesy of Ger Smullen in Portlaoise.
The first is from the Hermitage where kids can be seen having fund in the snow.
While the second is of Ashley Gardens. Both places are located in the Borris Road in Portlaoise.
So sit back and enjoying reliving the greatest snowfall to hit Laois since 1982.
Thanks to everyone who sent these in to us!
