2017

1. What was your personal highlight of 2017?

My personal highlight was returning from a long term knee injury I suffered early in 2016, returning to the Connacht team and having the privilege of captaining the side in two European games. Off the pitch my highlight would be my summer holidays to Greece.

2. Anything you would like to change from 2017?

Not particularly. There’s been a few close games in the league that didn’t go our way that I would have obviously loved to win. Outside of that maybe some prolonged good weather!

3. Favourite moment of 2017 (apart from own personal activity)

The whole build up and event of Mayweather Vs McGregor.

4. Worst moment of 2017?

Losing to Zebre in Parma in November.

5. Best learning experience from 2017?

Returning from my long term injury proved to me that by engaging in consistent action and working towards a clear goal you can achieve whatever you set your mind to.

The future

1. What would be the one thing you would like to change in 2018?

My brother’s hairstyle.

2. If you could attend any event in 2018 what would it be?

A good UFC event.

3. What would you like to achieve in 2018?

Win a trophy with connacht and push for my first Irish cap.

4. Where do you hope to see yourself at the end of 2018?

Playing week in week out for connacht and having won a cap for my country.

5. What would be your own personal motto to see you through 2018?

“If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand.”
