In July we brought you news of a dramatic fire at a house in Portlaoise.
Readers contacted us with video footage of the blaze at the premises which was thankfully unoccupied at the time and there was no injuries.
However, it was far from a pleasant experience for those closeby and the anti-social behaviour at the house was a scourge on local residents.
Units of the Laois County Fire and Rescue service are currently battling a blaze at a house in Portlaoise.
A house at Laurel Drive, Esker Hills, in Portlaoise burst into flames a short time ago.
Local sources say that the house was empty at the time but the cause of the fire is not known at this time.
There are no reports of injuries.
The fire was attended to by the Portlaoise and Stradbally units of Laois County Fire and Rescue and by local gardai.
