‘La Lola’ Tapas and Pintxos Restaurant is opening on 37 Main Street this evening.
MOUNTMELLICK – Hurlers Reunion
A reunion of the Mountmellick hurlers from 1979 to 1983 will take place in the Hollow Bar.
MOUNTMELLICK – Mission Alive Table Quiz
The Mission Alive Table Quiz takes place in the Druid Lounge, Mountmellick at 9.30pm. Proceeds from the night will go to Orphan Project in Lusaka in Zambia. Quizmaster for the evening is Michael Linehan.
MOUNTRATH – ICA Book Launch
Castletown ICA are launching their centenary book in Mountrath Golf Club at 7pm.
PORTLAOISE – Garda get-together
Get together for familes of Garryhinch bomb victims following Scott Medal for Bravery presentation. This takes place in the Killeshin Hotel from 8pm.

BALLYROAN – 10 mile road race and 5km Santa Run
The Ballyroan-Abbeyleix and District Athletic Club are holding their annual 10mile road race and 5km Santa Run in Ballyroan at 12noon. With over €2000 in prizes – in a number of categories – it’s sure to attract a top field. It’s €35 on the day for the 10mile race and €10 for the 5km. to
MOUNTMELLICK – Little Black Dress Night
Get Red Carpet ready. A Girls Night Out is being held in aid of Mountmellick Flood victims in the Mellick Inn from 8pm. Goody bags, finger food and spot prizes on the night. Tickets are available form O Horáin’s, O’Gorman’s and World of Sparkles.
