Andy Molloy
Irishtown, Mountmellick, Laois/Mountrath, Laois

Andy Molloy, Irishtown, Mountmellick and formerly of Mountrath Road, Portlaoise.

Died peacefully on Monday 10th March surrounded by his loving family in his 86th year, following a brief illness.

Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Josephine, brother Seamus, nephews Andrew and James.

Andy is survived by his brother John and sister Mary, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, daughters Dorothy and Yvonne.

Andy will be sadly missed by his adoring wife Julie and their children Andrew, his wife Fiona, Jennifer and her husband John, Robert and Linda and her partner Vinnie, his Grandchildren Seàn Ronan Saoirse Lucy Caolàn and Róisín, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and a huge circle of friends.

Reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 o’clock, Recital of the Rosary at 6.30pm.

Removal from his home on Thursday at 10.20am to St. Josephs Church for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock and burial after in St. Josephs Cemetery.

House strictly private at all times.

Peacefully in the loving care of Beechwood Nursing Home in his 85th year on 11th March 2025.

Predeceased by his brothers Noel, Harry and sister Lily. Sadly missed and remembered by his loving family, wife Ann, daughter Erica, son Winston, son in law Barry, daughter in law Orla, his seven adored grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Rowan, Zach, Zarah, Evie and Ellie, sisters Doris and Muriel, brothers Leslie and Cecil, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Moran’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny (R95 PD82) on Wednesday 12th March 2025 from 4pm concluding at 8pm with funeral prayers. Funeral service in Mayo Church, Crettyard (R93 R621) on Thursday 13th March 2025 at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Mary Burgess (née Keogh)
Coolrain, Laois

Mary Burgess (nee Keogh), Coolrain, Laois and formerly London. Died peacefully at home. Daughter of the late Christopher Keogh and Mary Philomena Keogh. Predeceased by late husband Paul Burgess and uncle John Brendan Shiels. Deeply regretted by her sister Rachel and partner Ray, nieces Shannon and Aislinn, great-niece Aoibhe, stepsons Kevin and Jamie, God-son Craig, cousins Pat, Brendan and Hannah other relatives and friends.

Reposing at her sister’s residence at Aghnaharna (Postcode R32N67W) on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8 pm and Rosary on Wednesday at 8pm. Removal on Thursday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11am Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Tim Delaney
Curraun, Aghaboe, Clough/Ballacolla, Laois

Passed away Saturday 8th March 2025, peacefully at home.

Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his sister Sr. Regina (Mary), brothers Joe and Sean, sisters in law Breda and Una, Aunt and Godmother Hannie Kennedy, nieces Paula and Marie, nephews John, Colm, Joseph and Darren, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, (Eircode R32TN84), Wednesday evening (March 12th) from 5pm concluding with prayer at 8pm. Removal from Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home on Thursday morning (March 13th) at 10.30am to arrive at St. Canice’s Church, Clough (R32K003) for Funeral Mass at 11am, with burial immediately afterwards in the local cemetery.

Denis Hayden
Ballymorris road, Portarlington, Laois/The Curragh, Kildare

Denis Hayden, Retd Sgt Major, Military Police, Ballymorris Road, Portarlington, Co. Laois and late of The Curragh Camp, Co. Kildare. 10th March 2025.

Peacefully in his 94th year at Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret (Madeline) son Denis (Jazzy), his parents & sisters.

Sadly, missed by his loving family, sons Francis, Philip and Martin, daughters Marion, Carmel and Yvonne, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Pat and John, daughters-in-law Charlotte, Valerie, Liz and Una, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Anderson & Leahy’s Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge, on Tuesday 11th March from 4pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning 12th at 10.30am to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, The Curragh for Requiem Mass at 11am. Denis’s mass will be livestreamed on https://www.facebook.com/TheCurraghChurch/.

Burial afterwards to St. Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington, Co. Offaly.

Benny Maher
Late of Arlington Estate, Portarlington, Laois

Formerly of Bracklone Street Portarlington County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Kitty and sister Pauline. Deeply regretted by his loving stepchildren Denise and Derek, grandchildren Ciaran and Kayla, brothers Pat and Gerard, sisters Marian and Theresa, aunt, uncle, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington on (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9:20am arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.
