The 2024 Laois Junior football champions have appointed a new manager ahead of the 2025 season.
Kilcavan have opted to go for highly regarded Cork native Kevin Mulcahy.
From Ballinora, he runs TMC Performance Coaching and is also a qualified S&C coach.
He routinely speaks on matters of GAA significance and has held coach roles in field and court sports as well as boxing.
Mulcahy will took over the running of the Kilcavan team from Liam Lonergan, Gordon Lalor and Tom Hunt.
Under their stewardship, Kilcavan have made tremendous strides in the last two years.
In 2023, they claimed ACFL Division 4 glory by defeating Barrowhouse in the final.
But 2024 was their big season as they gained double promotion.
They took ACFL Division 3 by storm as they reached the final against Clonaslee-St Manman’s – although that was never actually played.
And then they walked through the Junior championship – defeating St Joseph’s in the final.
Under Mulcahy, Kilcavan will play in ACFL Division 2 and the Laois IFC this year.
