Gerard (Patrick) Lowry, Munny, Stradbally Co.Laois. Died 3rd February 2025 unexpectedly. Deeply regretted by his brothers John and Jim, sisters in law Anne and Mary, nephews Eoin and James, nieces Patricia, Mairéad, Amanda and Michelle, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence (R32 TD77) on Friday February 7th from 4pm till 8pm with rosary at 7pm. Removal on Saturday to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally for 11am requiem mass. Interment immediately afterwards in Ratheniska Cemetery.

William (Liam) Rohan
Corbally, Abbeyleix, Laois

Peacefully at his residence. Pre deceased by his parents Martin and Hanora and his sister Regina.

Deeply regretted by his brother Tom, sister Annie (Ryan), sister-in-law Mary, nieces,nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence in Corbally on Thursday from 5pm. with Rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal to St. Fintan’s Church Raheen for Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Friday. Burial afterwards in Raheen Cemetery.

Sylvia Cooke (née Whiteford)
Oakfield, Boherard, Ballacolla, Laois/The Commons, Tipperary

Sylvia Cooke (née Whiteford), Oakfield, Boherard, Clough Ballacolla, Co. Laois and Newpark, The Commons, Thurles, Co. Tipperary February 4th. peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the Sacred Heart Nursing Home Crosspatrick.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years Tom, her daughter Sharon (Handcock), son-in-law Alan, adored grandchildren Claire, Ross and Kyle, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her daughter’s home Oakfield, Boherard, Clough, Ballacolla (Eircode R32 P934) on Thursday February 6th. from 2 o’clock pausing for prayer at 7 o’clock. Funeral service will take place on Friday February 7th at 1 pm at Kilcooley Parish Church, Kilcooley Abbey Co. Tipperary (Eircode E41 YY97) followed by interment in St. Canice’s Church graveyard Aghaboe Co. Laois (R32 HX92).

Patrick Conlon
Mountmellick, Laois/Crumlin, Dublin

Conlon, Patrick, (formerly Crumlin Dublin, and now Mountmellick, Co Laois), 4th January 2025, died, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Tullamore Hospital, following a short illness borne with outstanding strength and courage.

Predeceased by his parents, sister, son Patrick and grandson Lucas.

Beloved husband of Kay, adored dad of Wayne and Nadine and loving granddad of Alana, Hannah, Cian, Shannon, and Eimear. Pat will be very deeply missed by his loving wife, children, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-lawJackie and Lynn, grandchildren, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, and by extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Andrew (Andy) Whelan McDonagh Avenue, Cloughjordan & formerly of Moanfin, Kilruane and Slatt, Wolfhill, Co.Laois. Peacefully surrounded by his family on 4th Feb 2025 in the care of the staff at University Hospital Limerick. Predeceased by his beloved wife Rita, his parents James & Elizabeth and brother Peter. Will be sadly missed by his loving family Nigel, Karen & Helen. Grandchildren Rebecca, Sophie, Shane, David, Jessica, Mikaela, Oisin, Saoirse & Teagan and great-granddaughters Ali & Càit. Brothers John, James, Thomas, Paddy & Richard, sister Julianne. daughter in law June & son in law Dalen. Sisters in law, brother in law, nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at SS Michael and John’s Church, Cloughjordan, this Thursday from 5 o’c to 7 o’c. Requiem Mass takes place on Friday at 11 o’c. Livestream can be viewed on https://www.facebook.com/cloughjordanparish Burial afterwards in the church grounds.

Seàn Quinn
Blandsford, Ballyroan, Laois

Passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at The Residence Portlaoise.

Predeceased by his sister Betty (Mc Wey).Cherished and much loved husband of Marie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, sister Ann, sister-in-law Kathleen, brother-in-law Micheal and their families, his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours,former work colleagues and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing on Wednesday the 5th in St. Patrick’s Church Ballyroan from 5pm. with Rosary at 7.30 pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12noon. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Teresa Kealy (née Cranny)
Athy, Kildare/Ballylinan, Laois

Teresa Kealy (née Cranny) late of Enfield, London and formerly Ballylinan and Athy, passed away suddenly in the loving care of the staff of St. Theresas Care Home, Bush Hill Park, London.

Predeceased by her husband Sean and deeply regretted by her daughters Maria (Mitchell), Margaret, Michele and her son John. Grandchildren John, David, Lucy, Victoria and Harriet. Great grandchildren Zachary, Matilda, Joshua, India, Hudson and Finley. nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives, extended family and friends.

Teresa’s Requiem Mass in London will be held at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. George, Enfield, on 29th January followed by repatriation from London to Athy.

Teresa will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mt. Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, from 2.30pm until removal at 4.30pm to St. Ann’s Church, Ballylinan, Co. Laois for reception prayers at 5pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 6th February, at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
