Laois Ladies manager Stephen Duff has chosen Andrea Moran to captain the team for the 2025 season.
The Ballyroan midfielder, who was vice-captain last year, steps up in place of Clodagh Dunne who is currently abroad.
Laois LGFA confirmed the news on social media this week.
They said: “Laois Intermediate management have announced Andrea Moran from Ballyroan as captain of the squad for 2025.
“Congratulations to Andrea this is a clear reflection of her role within the team.
“The respect and confidence both her coaches and teammates have of her abilities both on and off the field.
“As captain for 2025, she will be a driving force in motivating and leading her team as we build having dropped from Senior to Intermediate.
“Her selection is testament to her dedication, hard work and leadership qualities in the sport.”
Stephen Duff will begin his first full season in charge of the Laois Ladies footballers when they host neighbours Carlow in the first round of Division 3 of the league on January 26.
This game is scheduled for the Centre of Excellence and is the first of three in consecutive weeks.
Laois are at home to Louth and away to Down before their matches then occur every second week.
Round 4 sees them travel to Offaly while in Round 5 they will host Limerick.
They conclude with a home tie against Cavan and an away fixture with Wexford.
