Christmas officially arrived in Portlaoise last weekend with four brilliantly organised events taking place.
On Saturday December 14, Laois School of Music and Music Generation Laois Ensemble held a Christmas Concert.
John Davidson led proceedings while Rosa Flannery introduced proceedings.
The concert took place in Portlaoise Library and proved to be a big success.
Later that day, the Portlaoise Tradfest Big Christmas Trad Session took place.
Supported by Downtown Portlaoise and Laois County Council, this was held in The Fort Outdoor Performance Space at Laois Music Centre.
On Sunday, the Big Christmas Sing took place at The Fort Outdoor Performance Space, Laois Music Centre.
The Laois Community Choir performed at the event which was presented by Music Generation Laois and supported by Downtown Portlaoise and Laois County Council.
And finally, Sunday evening saw the airing of The Big Christmas Movie.
The Muppet Christmas Carol, supported by Downtown Portlaoise and Laois County Council, was screened at The Fort Outdoor Performance Space, Laois Music Centre.
