Laois County Council have confirmed details of their out of hours services to cover the Christmas and New Year period.
With the Council Offices set to close next Monday, details of what people should do if there are issues with roads, housing or water services, have been announced.
The issue came before the monthly meeting of Laois County Council on Monday morning.
Independent Councillor James Kelly requested that this information be made available as soon as possible.
Chief Executive Michael Rainey confirmed the Council would and now it is here.
Laois County Council have engaged the services of Arema Connect to provide the service when the office is closed.
A spokesperson said: “I wish to advise that Laois County Council have engaged Arema Connect to provide a call answering service for non fire emergencies for Roads, Housing and Water Services over the Christmas and New year periods when the offices are closed as follows:
“From 4pm on Monday December 23 until 9am on December 30.
“And from 5pm on Tuesday December 31 to 9am on Thursday January 2.
Callers can access the service by calling the main switchboard (057) 8664000.
“They will be provided with two options, i.e. press 1 to access the out of hours service or press 2 to leave a message (which customers are being advised will be responded to when the offices re-open)
“This information is being provided to you in the event that you receive requests for assistance over the Christmas/New Year period.”
