Comedy legend Pat Shortt set to perform in Laois shortly after Christmas

An Irish comedy legend is set to perform in Laois shortly after Christmas.

Pat Shortt will be joined by his daughter Faye Shortt as the duo bring their show, ‘Knuckle Down,’ to the county on Saturday, January 18.

The wonderful Mountmellick Arts Centre will be the venue as part of an almost 30-date nationwide tour from November to April.

Shortt is one half of Ireland’s most famous and icon duos, D’Unbelievables, alongside the recently passed Jon Kenny RIP.

Shortt has enjoyed personal success with his TV show, Kilikaskully, and his hit song, Jumbo Breakfast Roll.

The Tipperary native has an impressive acting background as well, with credits on Father Ted, The Banshees of Inisherin, Man About Dog, and Garage.

Faye Shortt’s is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting, The National Theatre School of Ireland.

Faye was taught by the world renowned acting coach Gerry Grennell, who has trained actors such as Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Timothee Chalamet and more.

‘Knuckle Down’ sees the father-daughter duo reuinte with their brand-new slick comedy show.

This is the final leg of the tour and is the last opportunity to catch it before it finishes.

The new show promises “a riot of sketch comedy, as Pat and Faye bring their array of new characters to life.

“Fasten your seat belts for an evening of hilarious fun and laughter.”
