Talk about the stuff of dreams.
Bobby Kinsella from Stradbally and a 5th class student in St Colman’s NS, is not only a world champion Irish dancer – but this evening he also starred on the RTE Toy Show.
Featuring in the first part of the show, he performed with an all-boys group of dancers.
Bobby is from a renowned Irish dancing family – his Mam Carmel Manton-Kinsella is a well-known teacher while Carmel’s mother is the much-loved Gabrielle Lynam, who opened her dancing school way back in 1978 and has countless dancers under her tutelage.
Needless to say Bobby dances with the Lynam School of Dancing.
“RTE got in touch to invite him to be part of an all boys group of Irish dancers performing on the Toy Show,” explained his dad David.
“Needless to say, he jumped at the once in a lifetime opportunity. We were all super excited and proud.”
David and Carmel travelled to RTE with Bobby on both Thursday and Friday.
“Audience tickets are like gold dust but we were in the green room,” he added.
“We were up on the set and in the audience for the rehearsals so got to see it all. It was an amazing set up.”
