Died peacefully surround by her loving family.
Reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home, Mountmellick (R32 PC95) on Sunday 10th of November from 4pm.
Recital of the Rosary at 6pm.
Removal on Monday morning to St. Joseph’s Church Mountmellick arriving for 11 O’Clock Requiem Mass.
Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Mountmellick.

Joan Ferns
Cuddagh South, Ballacolla, Laois/Castletown, Laois
Died on the 6th November 2024, unexpectedly but peacefully at her home. Beloved wife of the late Liam, and loving mother to Anthony, Thomas, Mary and Margaret, cherished grandma to Alex, Karl, Daniel, Joe and Dara. Joan will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, grandchildren, brothers Sean, Ned and P.J., sisters Sr. Patricia, and Agnes, sons-in-law Hugh and Darren, daughter-in-law Pearl, and Thomas’s partner Maura, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her wonderful friends.
Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Friday evening (8th November) from 6.30 p.m., concluding with Rosary at 8.30 p.m. Requiem Mass Saturday morning (9th November) in St. Edmund’s Church Castletown (eircode R32KT22) at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in Churchyard Cemetery.

Ned Ryan. Morette . Emo. Co. Laois Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. After an illness borne with dignity and love. Dearly loved son to Raymond and Evelyn. Cherished brother to Ray and Jack. Beloved partner to Anne and brother-in-law to Ellen. Deeply regretted by his grandparents Lill Ryan and Lucy Greene and all the extended Ryan and Greene families. Lovingly remembered by all his friends, teaching colleagues and colleagues in the HSE.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Friday from 4 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Removal from his home on Saturday morning to arrive at St Paul’s Church, Emo for 12 noon mass. Interment will follow in the New Cemetery, Emo. House strictly family only Saturday morning.
Marie Therese (Bláth) Dunleavy
Patrick Street, Durrow, Laois/Athenry, Galway
Bláth passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the medical staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, Co. Laois after a brief illness. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary, her brother Michael (Midie) and her sister Eva. Deeply regretted by her brother Frank, her nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, relatives, her dear friends Richard and Sally, her close neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Bláth will be received into the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow, Co Laois (R32 CK11) on Thursday evening 7th November 2024 at 5.30pm and will repose there until 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday 8th November at 11am in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow with removal to St. Mary’s Cemetery, The Square, Athenry, Co. Galway for interment at 2.30pm.

Lios an Óir, Charleville, formerly of Buttercup, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and originally from Durban, South Africa.
Nonjabulo passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at home on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024.
Predeceased by her loving parents Jubilee Zu and Thembeni Victoria. Loving mother of Odwa Awethu and Lwandile, cherished grandmother of Uminathi Zanokuhle.
Dear sister of Khethiwe Confidence, Joy, Thabile Purity, Doh Bathobile and Charity Siphindile.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrycja Mayewska, Esker Hills Portlaoise who left this world peacefully on November 2nd 2024. Peacefully after a long illness at St James Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Patrycja brought warmth, kindness and light to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. She touched the lives of many leaving behind cherished memories that will forever be held close. She will be deeply missed by her father Mariusz, mother Beata, step mother Monika, sister Martyna and all her family and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Thursday, November 7th, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm with prayers at 6:30pm. Requiem mass to honour Patrycja’s life will be celebrated on Friday November 8th at 12 noon in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise. Followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 2pm.

Josephine Guinan (nee O’Connor) Dunamase, Stradbally, Co. Laois and late of Newcastle, Co. Dublin. November 4th 2024 . Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to Tim and dearly loved mother to Phelim, Finian and Eileen. Cherished grandmother to Cillian, Rióna, Liam, Fiachra, Oisín, Iarlaith, Caoimhe and Ashlinn, son in law Liam, daughters in law Paula and Karina. Deeply regretted by her loving family, brothers Charlie, Der, Briany, and sister Eileen, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at her home (R32WY19) on Thursday 7th from 3 pm until rosary recital at 8 pm. Removal on Friday morning to Ratheniska Church for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will follow afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private on Friday morning.
