Emergency services are currently on the scene of a fire on a road near the Portlaoise Plaza off the M7.
A blaze broke out this evening on a road near the popular fast food and filling station.
It is understand that that the back of a lorry caught fire.
Smoke and flames were emitted from it and emergency services quickly responded.
The local fire service responded and are currently battling to bring the fire under control.
It is believed that thankfully, nobody has been injured following the incident.
It is unknown at this stage how the fire broke out.
