Patricia Bergin (née Grace), Castlegrogan, Errill, Co. Laois and formerly Blean, Toomevara, Co. Tipperary, October 7th. 2024, peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Stephen and Maureen and brother Eamonn.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken husband Edward, adoring family John, Edmund, Grace and Lorraine, much loved grandchildren Louise, Gavin, James, Àoife, Gràinne, Emma and Cian, daughters-in-law Fiona and Bernie, sons-in-law Liam and David, brother John and sisters Breda, Mary and Deirdre, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, her good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Tuesday evening, October 8th, from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Private removal from her residence on Wednesday morning arriving at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.

Stonehall, Newport, Tipperary/Limerick /Laois

Mark Locker (Stonehall, Newport, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Swansea, Wales. Late of Aggreko Ireland, Portlaoise). October 8th 2024, peacefully at Milford Care Centre.

Beloved husband of Michelle. Dearly loved father of Olivia. He will be very sadly missed by his loving father-in-law Clement, cousins Wayne and his wife Jill and her son’s Dai and Nick, aunt Joanie and her son Stephen, and their families, sisters-in-law Elizabeth and Kathryn, brothers in-law Tom (Laffan) and Tom (Frawley) nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Saturday (12th October) from 11.30am to 1.30pm followed by Funeral Service in Shannon Crematorium at 3pm. Mark’s Funeral Service will be live-streamed here Password: TR37

Bernadette died at St.Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny surrounded by her family and friends. Predeceased by her sisters Mary and Sr Ellen and brother Michael. She resided at Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyraggett. Deeply regretted by her niece Margaret (Power) and nephews Joe and John, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence at Grawn, Attanagh from 3oc on Wednesday. Rosary on Wednesday evening at 8oc. Removal on Thursday morning to The Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill for Funeral Mass at 11oc. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. No flowers please. House Private on Thursday morning.

Fergus Cosgrave
Ballyoughtra Heights, Milltown, Kerry/Portlaoise, Laois

Fergus passed suddenly from this life on Friday October 4th 2024.

He was born in Mountmellick, Co. Laois. He lived there until his early teens & then lived in Portlaoise for the next 40 years.

He has lived in Kerry for the past 21 years. Deeply missed by his heartbroken family. Predeceased by his parents Phylis & Patrick, his brother Joseph & infant son Joseph.

Fergus will be lovingly remembered forever by his beloved wife Christine, daughters Lorraine & Emma, son Kieran, son-in-law Jeremy Wrenn, Emma’s fiancé Ken NG, daughter-in-law Liz, his dearly loved grandchildren Senan, Caoimhe, Zoe, Amara, Freya & Fionn, siblings Francis, Pat, John, Betty & Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Reposing Wednesday evening (Oct 9th) at Flynns Funeral Home, Castlemaine (V93 XNE2) from 6pm – 8pm. Funeral arriving Thursday morning (Oct 10th) to The Sacred Heart Church, Milltown for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Aglish Cemetery.

Marie Hogan (née Higgins)
Stillbrook, Mountrath, Laois

Marie Hogan (nee Higgins), Stillbrook, Mountrath and formerly of Coolrain and Cedar Inn Mountrath. October 7th, 2024. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Daughter of the late Ben and Bridget Higgins.

Predeceased by her husband Noel, brothers Padraig and Sean, sisters Rita, Lila and Annette.

Deeply regretted by her son Kevin, granddaughters Séana, Keara and Katie, her 11 grandchildren, sister Bernadette (Hertford), sisters in law, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown (Eircode R32 TH84) this Tuesday evening (Oct. 8th.) from 6 pm. until 8.30 pm. pausing for prayers at 7 pm. Marie’s Funeral Mass this Wednesday evening (Oct. 9th.) at 3 pm in St. Fergal’s Church, Camross followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

John Doheny
Portlaoise Road, Mountrath, Laois

John passed away peacefully on the 5th October 2024, surrounded by his loving family, and in the care of staff at Tallaght Hospital Dublin.

Beloved husband of Margaret, and dear father to David, Paul and Carol. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, brothers, sisters, daughter-in-law Karen, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Monday evening (October 7th) from 6.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 9.0’clock. Removal on Tuesday morning (October 8th) to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath (eircode R32EC61), for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

Bosco Bartley, Well rd Portlaoise Co.Laois. Died October 6th 2024 peacefully after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary and brother Ollie. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Frances, Josie and Pauline and brother PJ. Sister in law Theresa, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s funeral home portlaoise on Tuesday from 6:30pm till 8pm with rosary at 7:30pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in SS Peter and Paul’s church followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s cemetery.

Marie Keenan (née Byron)
Main Street, Stradbally, Laois/Ballyphehane, Cork

The death has occurred of Marie Keenan (née Byron), Main Street, Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly Ballyphehane, Cork, peacefully on 5th October 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Predeceased by her parents, Nora and James, her beloved husband Larry and her brother Michael.

Sadly missed by her daughters Katherine and Audrey, grandchildren Emma, David, James, Sean, Anna, Alison, Barry, Lucy and Oisin, great-grandson Tommy and her son Larry, sisters, brothers, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law Tom and Murt, daughter-in-law Michelle, extended family, her very kind neighbours and her many friends.

Marie will repose at the family home, Main Street, on Monday 7th October from 2pm with Rosary at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally at 11am on Tuesday 8th October followed by Interment in Oakvale Cemetery.
