John passed away peacefully on the 5th October 2024, surrounded by his loving family, and in the care of staff at Tallaght Hospital Dublin.
Beloved husband of Margaret, and dear father to David, Paul and Carol. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, brothers, sisters, daughter-in-law Karen, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Teresa Shiels 28 Beladd and formerly Dr Murphys Place Portlaoise. October 4th 2024. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Paddy and Jane Shiels . Predeceased by her sister Ciss Mills.
Dearly loved sister to Nancy O’Gorman. Deeply regretted by her brothers Billy and Pat. Brother in law Séan. Nephews, nieces. Grandnephews, grandnieces. Relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace. Reposing at her residence at Beladd on Sunday from 4pm until 7pm.
Removal on Monday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 2pm. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery. Family flowers only, donation if desired to the Friends of Portlaoise Hospital. House private on Monday morning.

Robert Roe, Cullagh, Rathcabbin, Roscrea, Co Tipperary and formerly Gortnalee, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, October 4th. 2024 peacefully at Ballinasloe Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents John and Gladys and brother Harry.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, his loving partner Mary, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s funeral home Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Monday morning from 11 o’clock with removal to St. Andrew’s Church of Ireland church Rathdowney arriving for funeral service at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in The Local Cemetery, Rathdowney.

Margaret Noonan, (nee Conroy), 19 Clonmullion Retirement Village, Athy, Co. Kildare and late of Drim, Mountrath, Co. Laois, October 5th. 2024 (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Predeceased by her husband Edward, sisters Mai and Lil.
Will be dearly missed by her daughter Karen, son in law Danny, grandson Conor, brothers Jimmy, Jack and Fint, sisters Kathleen and Marion, sisters in law Breda and Pam, brother in law Mick, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home Castletown (Eircode R32 TN84) this Sunday evening (Oct. 6th.) from 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm with prayers in the funeral home at 7 pm.
Margaret’s Funeral Mass on Monday morning (Oct. 7th.) at 11 o’c in St. Edmund’s Church Castletown with burial immediately afterwards in St. Fintan’s cemetery Mountrath.

Judy (Julia) Keenan, Née graham, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, (late of Killanure, Co. Laois) 4th October 2024 in her 95th year, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Joseph (Joe), daughter of the late Julia and Thomas. Sadly missed by her loving and devoted children Mary, Marian, Sheila, Josephine and John, adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a large circle of friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her residence Sunday from 2pm to 8pm, removal Monday to S.S. Peter & Paul’s church Balbriggan arriving for 11am funeral mass, thereafter to S.S. Peter & Paul’s cemetery Balbriggan.

Loving daughter of the late Michael and Alice Maher.

Died October 5th, 2024, in The Residence, Portlaoise in the company of her Brigidine Sisters.
Loving daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Geoghegan, formerly of Borris-in-Ossory, predeceased by her parents and sisters, Lucy, Marie and Agnes Geoghegan.
Deeply regretted by her sister, Rena, nephews, Pat, Mike, Cathal and Oisin, grandnieces and grandnephew, Brigidine Sisters, relatives and friends.
Reposing in Brigidine Sisters Residence, Castletown Road, Mountrath on Sunday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Recital of the Rosary at 7.00 p.m.
Removal on Monday morning at 9.40 a.m. to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. Burial afterwards in the Convent Cemetery.

Pre deceased by her husband Patrick. Much loved mother of Mark, Paraic, Séamus and Richard.

Reposing in Keegan’s Funeral Home on Sunday, 6th October, from 3pm to 5.30pm with rosary recital at 5pm. Removal on Monday, 7th October, to arrive at Holy Rosary Church, Luggacurren for 11am requiem mass, interment afterwards in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Ballyadams.
