Rosenallis is gearing up for its biggest Festival of the Mountain and Vintage Rally yet, set to take place on Sunday, August 25.
This year’s event promises even more excitement, and a few key changes have been made to enhance your experience.
The lineup is packed with a vibrant mix of activities and entertainment for all ages, including:
Sheep Shearing and Vintage Vehicles
Watch internationally renowned sheep-shearer George Graham in action and admire an impressive collection of vintage vehicles.
Interactive Drumming Circle
Join 30 to 40 fellow drummers in a lively session led by an expert facilitator.
Live Music
Enjoy performances by Glór Tíre winner Aisling Rafferty, the Malva Ukrainian Choir with their new songs, and the always entertaining Rock on Paddy.
Traditional Arts and Crafts
Participate in creative workshops including wood carving, basket weaving, DIY skills, and more. You can also make your own memento to take home.
New for 2024
Try your hand at archery, relax with free yoga lessons on the mountain, and enjoy traditional Irish music and dance in our new trad music tent.
Special guests include the Garda Mounted Unit (Horses) and Irish Guidedogs for the Blind, adding to the day’s excitement.
Children will be thrilled with free face painting, live animals, amusements, and a dog show. Adults can savor hot food, including a pig on a spit and, for the first time, traditional Ukrainian cuisine.
Off-site Parking and Shuttle Bus
To make your visit as smooth as possible, organisers have introduced an off-site parking area at Hylands Transport Yard (R32 E264), with a convenient shuttle bus service running every 15 minutes to the festival grounds.
The shuttle will operate from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM, allowing you to enjoy the day without worrying about parking.
Please note that parking at the festival site is reserved for exhibitors and those with disabled parking badges.
For your safety and convenience, Gurteen Lane will be a one-way system throughout the festival. It will be closed to the public, with access limited to local residents, shuttle buses, and emergency vehicles.
Organisers say they “highly recommend using the shuttle service as the primary means of reaching the event.”
Cash-only
Please be aware that the festival will operate on a cash-only basis. Be sure to bring enough cash for any purchases, as there will be no card facilities on site.
The festival runs from 12 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, August 25th, with admission priced at €10 per person. Children aged 16 and under enter free.
