The death has occurred of Sean (Goo) Madigan, Old Forge Crescent, Mountrath, Co Laois and formerly Oliver Plunkett Terrace, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

Sean passed away peacefully at Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his wife Alice and his brothers Michael and Eamon, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken family, daughters Alison, Gina and Olivia, son John, grandchildren Danny, Adam, Christopher, Alice, Jack, Kate, Courtney, Conor, Molly, Ben, Taylor and Luigi, great-grandchildren Grace, Liam and P.J., sons-in-law Brendan and Del, daughter-in-law Jenine, brother Brendan, sisters Joan, Mary, Martina, Marion, Celine, Cathy, Ann, Bernadette, Patsy and Geraldine, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Sunday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Monday to Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church. Funeral Mass on arrival at 1.00pm. Those who cannot attend can watch live via the Ss. Peter & Paul’s Parish livestream service. Burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.

Betty Delaney (née Cahill)
45 Quigley Park, Rathdowney, Laois, R32 V3Y0

Betty Delaney (nee Cahill), 45 Quigley Park, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, August 1st. 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Johnny, parents Michael and Mary Cahill and brother Seamus. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, Felicity, Lisa and Stephen, her partner Andy, adored grandchildren Damien, Shane, Conor, Dylan, killian, Cian, Danielle, Craig, Tyler, Tiernan and Kai, great grandchildren Grace, Billy, Noah and Harry, sons-in-law Eddie and Alan, daughter-in-law Laura, brother Seán (Jack), sisters Catherine, Mary, Margaret and Tess, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, Dermot Madden, uncle Noel, aunt Betty, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence 45 Quigley Park, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 V3Y0) on both Saturday and Sunday evening from 5 o’clock pausing for prayer at 8 o’clock both evenings. Removal to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney on Monday morning arriving for Requiem mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery. Patrick (Paddy) Purcell
Doonane, Crettyard, Laois / Carlow

Predeceased by his mother Annie, step-dad John, sister Margaret, and brother-in-law Ned

Paddy will be sadly missed by his sister Mary, nephews Pauric, Shane and Aidan, nieces Debbie, Anita, and Mandy, his partner Katie, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his Home on Friday (2nd August) from 5-9pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral cortege arriving at Saint Abban’s Church, Doonane for Requiem Mass at 12 Noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (Paddy) Delaney
Kyledellig, Clough, Laois / Thurles, Tipperary

Patrick (Paddy) Delaney, late of Harrow, London, and formerly of Kyledellig, Clough, Co. Laois, and Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Paddy who died in England on the 23rd July 2024. Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Phil Coughlan (née Dundon)
Mountrath rd, Portlaoise, Laois

Phil Coughlan (nee Dundon) . “Curragha” Mountrath Rd., Portlaoise. 30th July 2024. Peacefully at home in the company of her family. Predeceased by her husband John . Dearly loved mother to David, Stephanie (Lewis), Pauline (Mahony) , and Bernadette (Rigney). Cherished grandmother to Lianne, Meghan, Daniel, Aron, Luke, and Harry. Great-grandmother to Cormac, Billy, Faye and Carl. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Sister Gemma McCrohan, brothers Tone Dundon, and Ben Dundon, sisters in law Betty and Geraldine, daughter in law Sharon, sons in law Liam, Des and Shawn, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm. With rosary at 8 pm Removal from her residence on Friday morning at 11.30 am to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
