The CUBE is a 10,000 square foot building spanning over three floors, located in the heart of Portlaoise Town overlooking the Old Fort of Maryborough.
Its central location makes it an ideal place to host your meetings and events, just a stone’s throw from Portlaoise’s Main Street and Portlaoise Train Station, and only 10 minutes from Junction 17 of the M7 motorway.
The CUBE is an excellent example of repurposing and bringing back into use derelict and vacant properties.
The original building was constructed over 15 years ago, and remained derelict until its refurbishment through funding from Enterprise Ireland and the Regional Enterprise Development Fund, and support from Laois County Council.
The building was officially opened in March 2023 by Minister Simon Coveney, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Dedicated office space is located on the first and second floors, which is now at full capacity, and the ground floor provides meeting and training rooms, as well as an open plan event space for larger events.
These are available for hourly and daily rental for businesses, community groups, and educational providers.
Up to 30 people can be seated theatre style in the training room, which features a state of the art video wall. The boardroom can seat 8 people with interactive screen for presentations.
Hot desking is also currently available for an affordable rate. The CUBE is proud to be part of the Siro and Vodafone GigaBit Hub Initiative.
SIRO 100% fibre broadband means that anybody using The CUBE’s services have access to high speed and reliable broadband.
Throughout the year, The CUBE offers one-to-one clinics for businesses, home owners, and community groups looking to retrofit homes and premises.
These clinics are extremely popular and are held in collaboration with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
