Portarlington woman Davinia Knight was crowned the winner of the ‘Best Dressed Lady at the Galway Races on Thursday.
Thursday always marks Ladies Day at the Galway Races, drawing the biggest crowd of the festival to the Ballybrit venue.
And Knight, who is a regular in the Best Dressed at various race meetings along with her sisters Dawn and Cleo, was chosen as the prestigious winners in Galway this year.
She walked away with the €10,000 cash prize after impressing judges with her ‘exquisite’ all-black ensemble and show-stopping headpiece.
Davinia looked incredible at the races in a black ruffle dress paired with a black mesh headpiece that came around her face, over her eyes and was fixed in a bow at the back.
Her dress is the Amour ruffle midi dress by the designer AJE, which she rented from Gúna Rentals Ireland and she picked up her incredible hat from Jennifer’s Hat Emporium in Co Kildare.
Davinia accessorised with short, black gloves which had a mesh polka dot and bow design, a black clutch and black-and-gold circular earrings.
Judging the Best Dressed Lady competitions on the day was Head Judge, well-known stylist Mandy Maher joined by fellow judge Kieran O’Malley Digital Marketing Manager for the Connacht Hospitality Group, and guest judge, Michelle Regazzoli-Stone, award winning make-up artist, social media influencer and ‘Mrs Glam’ brand co-creator.
