Frank Feehan of Ballickmoyler, Carlow, passed away, peacefully, on June 29th, 2024, in the exceptional and compassionate care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Carlow District Hospital, The Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team, under the spiritual support and council of his Clergy friends and surrounded by his sister and friends.
Deeply regretted by his loving sister Betty, sister-in-law Joyce, nieces, nephew, Frank’s wonderful friend and carer Stephanie, devoted cares, great neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, (Eircode R93 ET80) from 4pm on Monday, July 1st, concluding with prayers at 7.30pm that evening.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Arles, and will be followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Friends of the District Hospital, Carlow.
James (Jimmy) Garty
Mountmellick, Laois
GARTY James (Jimmy) – Mountmellick,
James (Jimmy) Garty, late of London, U.K. and formerly of Patrick Street, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, passed away in London, on 7th May 2024.
At Jimmy’s request, a private funeral and Requiem Mass were held at S.t Joseph’s Church, Mountmelick, on Tuesday, 11th June 2024, with burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery (Mountmellick).
Predeceased by his loving parents, Con and Mary Jo and his eldest sibling, Con, who died at birth. Sadly missed by his brother, Vincent, sisters, Geraldine, Ann and Teresa, brother-in-law Brian, sister-in-law Catherine, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Frances Kavanagh (née Rochford)

The death has occurred of Frances Kavanagh (nee Rochford), Monument House, Wolfe stone Street, Mountmellick, Co Laois R32C525 and formerly of Fairview House, Kildare Town, Co Kildare. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home.
Predeceased by her husband Bernard (Bernie) daughter Siobhan, brother Denis Rochford and sister Mary Rochford, her very close cousins Dell Ward and Anne Whitty.
Very sadly missed by her sons Bernard Justin & Conleth, her daughters Rosario and Denise, her grandchildren Bernard, Tristan, Eva, Caelyn, and Conleth, her sister Elizabeth Duggan, Kildare, her daughters-in-law Michelle, Mairead and Siobhan, her sons-in-law Ken & Damien, her brother-in-law Peter Duggan, her sisters-in-law Josephine Kavanagh and Patricia Gorman, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Jerry and mother of Richard (RIP). Dearly loved mother to Tony, AnnMarie, Teresa, Paul and Sarah. Cherished grandmother to Holly, Ella and Jamie.
Deeply regretted by her brother Seamus, sisters Maureen and Rose, brother in law Pakie, sister in law Teresa, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 3pm, with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning at 11.40am to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Hughie Sheppard, Derry Road, Durrow. Peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his wife Mary, parents Tommy and Eileen. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kay, children Brian, Raymond, Adrian and Lisa, stepchildren Orlaith, Mary and Anne Marie, grandchildren Ciara, Eoin, Aoife, Darragh, Sophie, Charlie, Alex, Cian, Tommy and Ellie, daughters-in-law Caroline, Emma and Nadine, son-in-law John, brothers Eamon and Brendan, sisters Irene and Maureen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at his residence on Saturday, 29th of June, from 4pm – 8pm and Sunday, 30th of June, from 4pm, concluding with rosary at 8pm.
Removal on Monday to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow (R32CK11) for requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Monday morning, please. Family flowers only, if desired. Masses may be offered for the Holy Souls.

Egan (Ballincollig and formerly of Portarlington, Co. Laois and Tarbert, Co. Kerry) On June 27th 2024 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of Maryborough Nursing Home, Patrick (Paddy) (proud former member of An Garda Siochana), beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Yvonne, Caroline, Colum and Leonie and brother of the late William, Jackie and Anna.
Sadly missed by his wife and family, sons-in-law Ger, Michael and Denis, daughter-in-law Clare, grandchildren Liam, Ana, Ciara, Brian, Niall, Joe, Oscar, Jack, Luc, Ellie and Marc, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Eamon A Fitzpatrick, Kilminfoyle House, Ballacolla, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 28th, 2024 in the wonderful care of the doctors and nurses in Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Rita. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Anne, daughter Fiona, sons Johnny and Michael, daughter in law, Caroline, Johnny’s partner Jane and much loved grandson Jack, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at his residence on Sunday, 30th June, from 2pm concluding with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Monday, 1st July, arriving at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla R32 RK8R for Requiem Mass at 12pm Midday. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Monday morning please.

Margaret (Peg) Coogan (neé Daly) Firoda, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Castlequarter, Ballybrophy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.
Margaret passed away peacefully in St. Luke’s General Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Tom, sister Kay (Cork), brothers Martin (Laois) and Paddy (Wexford).
Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Seamus, Eamon and Thomas, grandchildren Jill, Molly, Shane, Tommy, Eve, James, Jack and Sam, daughters-in-law Brona, Cora and Anne, brothers, Sean (Cork), Fr. Peter (Dublin), Michael (Clare) and Fr. Joe (Dublin), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, on Saturday, 29th June, from 4pm concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm.
Removal from her residence on Sunday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Margaret will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery.
