It was a busy Monday evening on the GAA scene with places in finals and semi finals up for grabs in hurling and football.
The round robin phase of the Laois Shopping Centre ACHL Division 2 concluded tonight.
Abbeyleix and Camross were already guaranteed semi final places so this match was to decide who they would play.
It ended in a draw which means that Abbeyleix will face Castletown and Camross will travel to Rathdowney-Errill – with these games on Thursday.
The Division 3 relegation phase got underway this evening and Timahoe gave themselves a big chance at survival.
They defeated Ballylinan by a point this evening in the first game of this new section.
Crettyard are also involved in this while so too will the loser of the playoff between Clonaslee-St Manman’s and Ballyroan-Abbey – which is scheduled for Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the finalists of ACFL Division 6 are also known following tonight’s action.
Arles-Kilcruise led Park-Ratheniska at half time but the latter came back to defeat them by a point.
They will face Clonaslee-St Manman’s in the final after they defeated O’Dempsey’s in the other semi final.
That is scheduled for Saturday evening at 5.15pm in the Centre of Excellence.
