Mary Williams (née Cleary)
Knockiel, Rathdowney, Laois, R32 E7W0

Mary Williams (née Cleary), Knockiel, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, May 30th. 2024, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise in her 90th. year.

Predeceased by her husband Timmy, sisters Peg, Dinah and Betty, niece Clare and grand niece Anna.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her twin sister Jane, her many much adored nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family and her close neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence Knockiel, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 E7W0) on Monday evening from 4 o’clock pausing for prayers at 7.30. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery Rathdowney.

Margaret Singleton (née Cogley)
Portarlington, Laois

Singleton (née Cogley), Margaret, (Late of Portarlington, Co. Laois). Peacefully, surrounded by her family. Beloved mother to Glen and Gavin. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons, sisters, husband Errol, father, extended family and friends

Reposing at Massey Bros Funerals, 88 A New Cabra Road, Dublin 7 (D07 ET92) on Monday, 3rd of June, from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral arriving on Tuesday to the Holy Family Church, Aughrim Street, Dublin 7, on Tuesday, 4th of June, for 10am funeral Mass, with cremation thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery for service at 11.30am.

Dr Murphy’s Place, Portlaoise, Laois

Seamus (Jim) Merriman, Dr Murphy’s Place, Portlaoise, died May 28th 2024. Predeceased by his father Patrick, mother Sheila, brother Michael and sister Anne. Deeply regretted by his brother Eamonn, sister in law Gail, nephews Charlie and Oscar, aunt Teasie, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Friday from 6:30pm to 8pm with rosary at 7:30pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, for 12 noon requiem Mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Thomas Flynn
Derrycloney, Mountmellick, Laois / Ballycumber, Offaly

Thomas Flynn Derrycloney, Mountmellick and late of Cooldorragh, Ballycumber, Co. Offaly, died May 30th (Retired N.T.).

Predeceased by his wife Carmel and brothers Peter and Paddy. Deeply regretted by his sons Conor and Pearse, daughters -in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in his home (R32W660) from 2pm on Friday. Removal at 6.20pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick, arriving at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Tentore, Ballacolla, Laois

Pascal Begadon, San Francisco and formerly Tentore, Ballacolla, Co Laois, May 23rd. 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary and brother Cyril. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken family, brother Eugene, sisters Anne-Marie (Browne) and Caroline (Brennan), brothers-in-law John and Seamus, sister-in-law Kristina, his adored nieces Orla and Bríd, nephews Alan, Darragh, Colm, Fergal and Canice, aunts, uncles, cousins extended family and a wide circle of friends at home and in San Francisco.

Reposing at his sister Anne-Marie Browne’s residence Tentore, Ballacolla (Eircode R32 H2W4), on Sunday afternoon from 3pm until 8pm pausing for prayers at 7pm.

Removal on Monday to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla, arriving for Requiem Mass at 1pm.

Interment afterwards in St. Fergal’s Cemetery, Ballacolla. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to The Kevin Bell Trust.

Nancy Flynn (née Lynch)
Coolagh, Clonaslee, Laois

Nancy Flynn (nee Lynch), Coolagh, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died the 28th of May 2024, peacefully, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her brothers Patsy, Joe and Jimmy and her sister Mary.

Dearly loved wife of Willie and loving mother of Declan, Niall and Deirdre.

Nancy will be sadly missed by her daughters-in-law Carmel and Gail, son-in-law Enda, grandchildren Megan, Dylan, Jack, Grace, Shannon and Conor, sisters Betty and Josie, sisters-in-law Nora and Betty, nieces, nephews relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Nancy’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.

Honor Kennedy
Tolerton, Carlow / Laois / Ferns, Wexford

Honor Kennedy (nee Murray), Tolerton, Carlow and formerly of Ferns, Co. Wexford, May 29th 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved wife of the late Sean and much loved mother of John, Ted, Miriam and Edel. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sisters Mary and Kay, sons-in-law James and Paul, Ted’s partner Jacqueline, adored grandchildren Rian, Jamie, Freya, Ella, Ruby, Charlie, Grace, Laura, Holly and Shane, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many dear friends.

Predeceased by her baby son Aidan, baby grandson Bobby and by her brother John.

Reposing at her daughter Miriam’s home in Kilcruise (R14 Y738) on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm and on Friday from 2pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mayo, Co. Laois (R93 HY94). Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
