Position – Communications Officer
Part-time; flexible (21 hours max per week)
Laois Partnership Company is the local development company for Co Laois. Based in Portlaoise, we run a number of state and EU funded programmes that aim to promote social inclusion, community and rural development and increase employment and enterprise.
This new position within the company will play a central role in the planning, implementation and administration of public relations, communications and positive promotion of the Company.
This is an exciting time to join our developing organisation and we are seeking to recruit dynamic, solution focused workers to join our team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A relevant third level qualification/professional certification in Journalism, PR or Communications.
- Proven experience working in Journalism, PR or Communications function.
- Impactful content creator via press releases, copywriting, presentations, videos, social media sites etc
- Experience in website, intranet and social media editing and content input.
- Experience with graphic design software to create attractive internal and external communications materials.
- Proficiency in relevant software and packages including Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An interest in working in the non-profit sector and experience of dealing with a broad range of stakeholders and community groups.
- Professional references will be required for this position.
