Anngrove, Mountmellick, Laois
Jean Pim, Anngrove, Mountmellick, Co. Laois died peacefully on May 9th 2024. Wife of the late David. Will be greatly missed by her children Ruthie, Christopher and Alastair, her in – laws Martin, Louise, Gillian and Anna, her grandchildren Alastair, Rebecca and Sam, Reuben and Noah, Josh, Hannah, and Sophie and great-grandchildren Alfie and Ely.
We would like to thank all the amazing staff at Portlaoise Hospital for their nothing short of outstanding care.
Jean will have a private burial in Rosenallis Quaker sleeping ground on Saturday, the 11th of May, with a Quaker service in Rosenallis Church of Ireland at 1 o clock.
Rt. Lt. Col Kenneth (Ken) Kelly
Raheen Park, Youghal, Cork / Portlaoise, Laois
Kenneth (Ken) Kelly, Retired Lt Col Irish Defence Forces, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his loving partner Brigid (Flavin), his Children Sinead and Alan, grandchildren Aoife, Imogen, Camille, and Christian, daughter-in-law Lara, son-in-law Paul, Brigid’s extended family, brothers and sisters Catherine, Evelyn and her husband Gay, Tom and his wife Valerie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Ken’s family would like to thank the Irish Cancer Society and Marymount Home team for the wonderful care shown to Ken, also special thanks to Dr McEnroe and Staff, Youghal.
Ken will repose in Egans Funeral Home, Greencloyne, Youghal on Thursday from 6.30pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon in the Holy Family Church, Youghal, A private Cremation will take place. Please leave your condolences in the below link. Bridget (Biddy) Nolan (née Phelan)
Rathmoyle, Abbeyleix, Laois
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital, Portlaoise after a short illness. Predeceased by her beloved husband John and sister Ina. Loving mother of James, Martina, Michael, John and Valerie. Deeply regretted by her loving sons and daughters, sister Patty, brother Ger ,sister-in-law Ann, daughter-in -law Catriona, son -in-law Noel ,she will be deeply missed with love and affection by her grandchildren Zoe, Peter, Benjamin, Amber, Mikie, Emma and Sean, nephews, nieces, neighbours relatives and friends.
Reposing at the Chapel of Rest adjoining the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix from 4pm on Thursday with prayers at 7pm. Removal to the Church of The Most Holy Rosary for 12 noon Requiem Mass on Friday. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Tom Treacy
Woodbrook, Mountrath, Laois / Ballybrophy, Laois
Tom Treacy, Woodbrook, Mountrath, and late of Rathmore, Ballybrophy, Co. Laois. Died 6th May 2024, unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by his parents Ger and Peg Treacy, father-in-law Billy Brophy. Beloved husband of Edwina . Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home Woodbrook (eircode R32E195) on Thursday evening (May 9th) from 5.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Friday morning (May 10th) to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath (eircode R32 EC61), for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.
