CONFIRMED: Line-up for the 2024 edition of the Old Fort Quarter Festival revealed

Organisers of the 2024 Old Fort Quarter Festival in Portlaoise have confirmed the line up for this year.

The festival takes place from June 27-30 and is set against the historic backdrop of Portlaoise’s Old Fort.

Orgabisers say that ‘this year’s festival boasts an unparalleled lineup that is sure to delight music lovers of all tastes’.

Kicking off the festivities on Thursday, June 27, festival newcomers The Tumbling Paddies will headline.

George Murphy will provide support, setting the tone for an epic weekend ahead.

Friday, June 28, sees the return of crowd favorites The Whistlin’ Donkeys, while Sunday, June 30, promises to end the festival on a high note with the sensational Smash Hits taking center stage.

Saturday, June 29, is not to be missed, featuring an Oasis tribute by ‘Live Forever’ and a performance by local favorites Pogueology, ensuring a night of non-stop entertainment and sing-along classics.

Local talent will get their chance too with the ever-popular Transmitter and The Dooley Brothers, who are sure to bring their signature energy and charm, set to take to the stage.

In addition to the incredible lineup, this year’s festival boasts a host of upgrades, including a new permanent roof, a revamped stage, and a commitment to green energy, ensuring a sustainable and environmentally friendly event for all to enjoy.

As a special treat for families, Sunday, June 30, will feature a range of family-friendly events from 12 noon to 6pm.

Organisers say: “Stay tuned as we will shortly announce details of these exciting activities, along with other events that will make this year’s festival a truly unforgettable experience for all ages.”

To celebrate the launch of this year’s lineup, early bird weekend tickets will go on sale on Thursday, May 9 at 1pm.

Weekend tickets are priced €85. Daily tickets will also be available for €32.
