Liam Adams M.P.S.I., Glenlahan, Stradbally Road, Portlaoise, and late of Adams Pharmacy, Portlaoise and Tullamore. On 14th April 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Róisín and dearly loved father of Niamh, Dónal and Róisín. Adored Grandad of Sorcha, Aoibhín, Órnaith, Alice and Nora. Loving son of Eithne and the late Billy. Dear brother of Gerald, Aislinn, Kevin, Helen and Michael. He will be very sadly missed by sons-in-law Terence and Diarmuid, daughter-in-law Jane, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends and customers.
Reposing at his family residence (R32YWOC) from 2pm on Tuesday with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, to arrive for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Josie Taylor
Hillview Drive, Portlaoise, Laois
Josie Taylor Hillview Drive Portlaoise and formerly Mountrath Road. Died April 14th 2024. Peacefully in the loving care of the Residence Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Eileen, Maura and Kitty, brother in law John, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family and friends.
Reposing at her nephew Noel Marum’s residence Mountrath Road Portlaoise, on Monday evening from 6pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul’s Church Portlaoise on Tuesday for 12 noon requiem mass.
Mary Carroll (née Moore)
Knapton, Abbeyleix, Laois
Peacefully at home in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her son Fabian and grandaughter Clodagh. Deeply regretted by her beloved husband Paddy , mother to Padraigh (Pat), Mary, Clive and Patrice, her much loved grandchildren, and great grandchild, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her residence from 2pm. on Sunday with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Monday morning to The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
Denis (Dinny) Whitney
9 Chapel St., Graiguecullen, Carlow, R93 XW52 / Graiguecullen, Laois
Denis (Dinny) Whitney of 9 Chapel St, Graiguecullen, Carlow, passed away peacefully on April 11th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and in the loving care of the staff of St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.
Beloved father of Sandra, Kenneth, Mark and Stuart, cherished brother of Mary, Eddie, Michael, Ber and the late Tom.
Dinny will be sadly missed by his daughter and sons, their mother Joan, siblings, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Reposing at his home, 9 Chapel St., Graiguecullen, Carlow (Eircode R93 XW52) on Saturday, April 13th, from 4pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Sunday at 1.45pm to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
