We’ve barely had time to digest the turkey and adjust to a new year – but the GAA action will make a return over the next 48 hours.
Justin McNulty’s second coming as Laois football manager will begin tomorrow evening in Stradbally.
His side are out in Round 1 of the O’Byrne Cup against Offaly who are also under new management with Declan Kelly in charge.
The game throws in at 7.30pm and there is no parking within the grounds, with the exception of those on the complimentary list and those with mobility issues.
Tickets for the game are €10 and can be purchased from the Leinster GAA website.
If Laois win, they will host Dublin on Saturday in the quarter finals while if they lose, they will enter the O’Byrne Cup shield semi finals which are scheduled for Saturday, January 13.
Thursday was due to be a historic day for all in Clough-Ballacolla as they were to host Round 1 of the Walsh Cup.
However, the pitch over there has been deemed unplayable and the game will now take place in the Centre of Excellence.
Like the football, tickets for the game are €10 and can be purchased from the Leinster GAA website.
If Laois lose, they will face Galway in Ballinasloe on Sunday while if they win, they will play Galway the following Sunday instead – January 14.
All proceeds from these games go to The Player Hardship fund.
