To add to the excitement, we’re in the process of upgrading our food court area, making it cozier and more weather-resistant, ensuring it becomes a year-round, all-weather event space.
SOLAS: A Hub for Education
SOLAS’s new Education Manager, Sundara O’Higgins, has been doing a fantastic job of running a series of education courses.
These courses have garnered immense popularity among secondary schools across Leinster and beyond.
In a single week in October, we’ll be welcoming students from five different secondary schools.
It’s heartening to witness SOLAS maturing and evolving into a hub for eco-living, exceptional cuisine, family events, and education.

Thursday to Sunday:
Roll up, Roll up! The Gerbola Circus is coming to SOLAS for five days, promising a fantastic fun day out for all the family. Showtimes are as follows: Thursday at 7:30 pm, Friday at 4:30 pm & 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 pm & 4:30 pm.
Saturday:
10 am to 2 pm: Visit our weekly Farmers Market to explore the finest local farm produce and crafts, including ‘Croft Treats,’ whose cakes and buns have become market favorites.
Sunday 1st Oct:
10 am – 3 pm: Our Vintage and Craft Fair is fully booked and promises a curated mix of vintage vinyl, preloved clothing, antique homeware, and upcycled craft pieces. For stall inquiries at future events, please contact Georgina at 0830452810.
1st Rapid Chess Tournament: SOLAS is hosting its first Rapid Chess Tournament in conjunction with The Irish Chess Union. All proceeds will go to the Irish Heart Foundation. To secure your place, register early [here](https://www.icu.ie/events/1749 #).

At SOLAS, our chef is always busy crafting new cakes and dishes, ranging from simple homemade cookies to red velvet cakes and coffee and pistachio cream cakes. We offer a delightful variety of vegan and vegetarian options to suit every palate. Join us in our heated outdoor café to savor our breakfast, soups, pizzas, and more.
