The National Lottery has confirmed that the Lotto Plus 2 winner who scooped €250,000 in the Saturday, August 5 draw has come forward.
Arrangements are now being made for them to claim their top prize amount.
The Laois player purchased their winning ticket at Downey’s Centra, on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise.
Meanwhile, the National Lottery is continuing to appeal to Telly Bingo players in the county to check their old tickets from Friday, July 14, as a Snowball prize worth €45,075 remains unclaimed.
The winning ticket was purchased on Tuesday, July 4, at Dunnes Stores in the Kyle Shopping Centre on James Fintan Lalor Avenue in Portlaoise.
Players are being reminded that ticketholders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize which means that the claim deadline for this prize is close of business on Thursday, October 12.
A National Lottery spokesperson has urged all Telly Bingo players who may have purchased their ticket for the Friday, July 14 draw at Dunnes Stores in the Kyle Shopping Centre to check their tickets very carefully as one player now has a ticket worth €45,075.
“One player now has a prize €45,075 waiting for them. The claim deadline is Thursday 12th October and the winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe,” a spokesperson said.
“They should contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize as soon as possible.”
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago.
In 2022 alone, €259 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
