Portlaoise Rugby Club’s colour run set to return for 2023

There was plenty of excitement at the Portlaoise Plaza last Friday with members of Portlaoise RFC gathering for the official launch of the 2023 Colour Run.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 9, at 1pm on the grounds of Portlaoise RFC in Togher.

Collection of goody bags and t-shirts for each entrant is from 11.30am to 12.30pm at the Portlaoise Plaza on the day of the run.

Following the run, Ireland’s first match in the Rugby World Cup (against Romania) will be shown in the clubhouse bar at 2.30pm.

This is a family fun event with something for everyone.

The inaugural event last year was a huge success with lots of fun had by all those who participated.

Over the past two years, a 1km walking track has been developed around the grounds at Togher rugby club.

This is the venue for the Colour Run with five laps making up the 5km course.

All proceeds from the run will go to Portlaoise RFC.

Registration is online through the link posted on the Portlaoise Plaza and Portlaoise RFC social media pages, with all ages welcome to walk or run in this family friendly event.

The QR code is also available on posters at the Portlaoise Plaza. Spaces are limited so early registration is advised.

Prizes are also sponsored for the run, so best of luck to everyone entering what’s sure to be a very enjoyable day.
