Formerly of Bolton, England. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Loving wife of the late Jim. Deeply regretted by her loving family Jan, Marie and Sean, brother Michael, sister Anne, grandchildren Catriona and her partner Kyle, Andy, Paul and his partner Katelyn, great-grandchildren Leon, Callum, Carmen, Kaiden, Evan and Eilna, all her other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.
The family would like to thank you for your help and understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Michael White, Mooreville, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. 19th July 2023 in his 77th year. Peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, predeceased by his son Patrick. Sadly missed by his loving wife Catherine, daughters Catriona, Martina, sons-in-law John and Paddy, grandchildren Shauna, Clodagh, Kathlyn, Diarmuid and Jamie, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence Mooreville, Rathdowney, Co. Laois (R32 P6AO) on Friday, 21st July, from 4pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 am in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, Co. Laois followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery. House private on Saturday morning. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Kidney Association.

Mary B died at St.Vincent’s Private Hospital Dublin. Deeply regretted by her husband John, sons Eoin, Donal and Conor, brothers John, Donal and Philip, sisters Bernie, Kathleen, Carmel and Breda, uncles, brothers in law, sisters in law, daughters in law Claire, Rowena and Emma, nieces, nephews, grandchildren Jack, Finn, Aodha, Quinn and Zara, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Jonathan McCowen
Brisbane and formerly Station Road, Portarlington, Laois
Jonathan McCowen, Brisbane. Formerly Station Road, Portarlington, Co. Laois. It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan “Micko” McCowen, after a long illness, bravely battled. Beloved husband and soulmate of Sherie, and adoring dad of Darcy and Riley. Predeceased by his parents, Jon and Marie McCowen. Johnny will be sadly missed every day by Sherie, Darcy and Riley, his sister Louise (Galway), his brothers Paul (Naas) and Mark (Poland), sisters-in-law Maureen and Ladda, niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his wide circle of friends at home and abroad.
Jonathan’s funeral service will take place at Our Lady of Graces Catholic Church, Carina on Tuesday, 1st August, 2023, commencing at 11.00am followed by burial at Mt Gravatt Cemetery. The funeral service will be livestreamed.

Formerly of 5 Marian Ave. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Johanna, and his loving partner Dolores. Much loved father of Mark and Dylan. Deeply regretted by his loving family, Mark’s partner Caroline, grandson Finn, brothers and sisters Noel, Colm, Geraldine, Mary, Patrick, Martin, Angela, Bosco and Eamonn, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Thursday 20th from 2pm to 8pm, with rosary recital at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St Peter and Paul’s Church, followed by interment in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Barbara Michalec, of Mountmellick, Co.Laois and formerly of Frydman, Poland. July 16th 2023. Peacefully in the presence of her loving husband at Tallaght University Hospital. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, husband Stan, children Agata and Jakub, parents, sisters, brothers, niece, extended family, close friends and neighbours.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to all the staff at Tallaght University Hospital who cared for our beloved Barbara throughout her illness.
Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Wednesday evening from 5pm with recital of The Rosary at 6.30pm. Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5pm with recital of The Rosary at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick.

Barbara will be laid to rest in her hometown of Frydman.
Patrick (Pat) Wynne
Hillside View, Clonaslee, Laois/Ferbane, Offaly
Patrick (Pat) Wynne, Hillside View, Clonaslee, Co. Laois; late of Cloolnahinch, Ferbane, Offaly.
Pat died on July 14th 2023, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family, at Tallaght Hospital. He was a native of Coolnahinch, Ferbane, and was predeceased by his beloved father Andrew.
Pat will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving son, Andrew, mother Elizabeth, sisters Mary Slevin (Rosemount) and Pauline Bracken (Moyclare), brother Sean (Boora), brothers-in-law John and Ian, sister-in-law Elaine, uncle, aunts, Carmel, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Pat will repose at his brother Sean’s home in Boora on Friday (July 21st) from 5pm to 8pm.
Removal on Saturday (July 22nd) to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ferbane, where his Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am, and may be viewed on http://www.ferbaneparish.ie.
Interment afterwards in Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore.
