A Laois GAA club and primary school are set to come together for a 24 hour fundraiser later this week.

Arles-Kilcruise and Arles NS are coming together from this Friday to Saturday to raise much needed funds.

The walk will begin at 2pm on Friday, June 16 and finish at 2pm on Saturday, June 17 in Arles Kilcruise GFC club grounds.

A spokesperson said: “We are encouraging everyone in the locality and further afield to get behind this great fundraiser.

“It is the first time that we have tried a fundraiser like this and we are looking forward to having good numbers down at the field for each of the 24 hours.

“All money collected will go towards PE and IT equipment in the school and towards upgrading of pitch and walkway lighting in the football field.

“All proceeds will benefit a large number of people in our community and we thank you in advance for your kind donation.

“If you are interested in taking part, please contact Debbi on 085 7144009 or Fran on 083 3037086.”

If people want to donate to the cause they can so on www.idonate.ie/crowdfunder/arles.
