NOLAN (Knockraha, Cork and Wolfhill, Co Laois): On May 15th 2023, peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, MICHAEL (formerly SISK / Smithwicks, Brewery, Kilkenny), beloved husband and best friend of Dolly (née Daly), loving father of Joe, Michael and Caroline.
Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, daughters-in-law Frances and Dympna, son-in-law Alan Coughlan, grandchildren Brian, Cian, Conor, Eric, Adam, Mike, Fionn, Oisin, brother P. J., sister Eileen, brother-in-law Bertie, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing on Tuesday (May 16th) at his residence in Knockraha (eir code T56 ND34) from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 2.00pm on Wednesday (May 17th) in St. Mary’s Church, Knockraha which can be viewed on https://mycondolences.ie/
Funeral afterwards to Kilquane Cemetery.
James (Noel) Moore
Emo, Laois / Renmore, Galway
James (Noel) died suddenly and is predeceased by his parents Jim and Marie. Deeply regretted by his brothers Tony, Michael and his partner Katie, Stephen and his partner Tara, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, work colleagues and friends.

Garvey Gerard, Hawthorn Way, Esker Hills, Portaloise and late of Kilkee, Co. Clare, May 11th 2023, peacefully at Tullamore Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Bernadette. Predeceased by his siblings, Senan, Bridie and Teresa. Sadly missed by his family in UK and Portlaoise – Sandra, Christopher, John and family in Kilkee and UK – Sally, Nuala, Mary, Michael and PJ, as well as all the nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
Reposing at Keegans funeral home, Portlaoise, on Monday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm, with rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Tuesday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church to arrive for 12 noon requiem Mass. Mass may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment will take place afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

MORRISSEY Fintan (Highfield Estate, Newbridge, Co. Kildare and late of Mountrath, Co. Laois) Retd. Sergeant McDonagh Barracks, The Curragh – 13th May 2023 (peacefully) at his home with his loving family by his side. Sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, children Deirdre, Paul, Dominic, Stephen, Fintan, Tara, Denise, Lisa and Marie, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Breda, sister-in-law Peg, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday from 4pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9.30am to arrive at Cill Mhuire, Ballymany for Mass at 10am. Mass can be viewed on https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/cill-mhuire-church. Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.

James (Jim) Davis Stanley, Monamondra, Errill, Co. Laois. May 13th 2023. Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Much adored husband and father. James will be sadly missed by his loving wife Frances and his six daughters Hilda, Rosie, Ruth, Pamela, June and Nicola, sons-in-law Graham, John, Ivor, Clive, Vinny and David, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother George, sister Phoebe, nephews, nieces, his extended family and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney (R32 NY24) on Monday 15th May from 5pm with prayers at 8pm. James’ remains will leave his family home on Tuesday 16th for funeral service in St. Andrew’s Church, Rathdowney (R32 XA52) at 2pm (https://youtube.com/@AllisonRitchieChurchSinger). Burial will take place at St. Columba’s Church, Rathsaran (DR32 NW50) at 3pm.
