Laois people’s love of all things Electric Picnic knows no bounds – as is being demonstrated by the large group of people who are currently queuing to buy tickets to next year’s festival.
Tickets went on sale a short time ago and already a few hundred punters have gathered in Portlaoise to snap them up.
The queue currently extends all the way from the door of Colgon’s shop, which is a Ticketmaster outlet, on Main Street up beyond Tara Court and is still growing.
Tickets to the festival sold out before the line-up was even announced for this year back in March.
And Electric Picnic bosses last week revealed the three-day festival will continue for at least another ten years.
If you have been to the festival three times or more a ticket this morning will cost €165, if you’ve been once or twice a ticket will cost €185 and if you haven’t been before it will cost €205.
But these early bird tickets will only be available for a limited time, hence the rush this morning.
