Tonight’s game between Laois and Carlow in the O’Byrne Cup has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch in Stradbally.
A statement via Leinster GAA confirmed the news and said the game would be refixed.
They said: “The clash of Laois and Carlow tonight in the O’Byrne is postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
“The Game will be rescheduled for this weekend with Full details to be confirmed.”
This game is a dead rubber as regardless of the result, neither side can progress to the semi final of the competition.
Laois lost to Longford in Round 1 and then drew with Meath at the weekend while Carlow have lost to both of those teams.
With only one side progressing from the group, that will be determined when Longford and Meath clash tonight also.
Laois now have two and a half weeks to prepare for their Division 4 opener away to Sligo.
