Br. Timothy (Pat) O’Shea, De La Salle Brothers, Castletown, Portlaoise and late of Drombohilly, Tuosist, Kenmare, Co. Kerry and Waterford. December 6th, 2022.
Predeceased by his Parents Jeremiah and Brigid, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by his sister Agnes (New York), sisters in law, nieces, nephews in Dallas, New York, London and Ireland, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, relatives, past pupils, friends and especially by his confreres in religion, the staff in Miguel House and the De La Salle College, Waterford.
Reposing in Miguel House, Castletown (Eircode R32 FK02) from 11am on Tuesday (13th. Dec.) with evening Prayer and Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (14th. Dec.) at 3 pm in Castletown Parish Church, followed by burial in the Monastery Cemetery, Castletown.
Janice Manuel (née Green)
Dublin / Portlaoise, Laois
Manuel, Janice (née Green) (late of Portlaoise, Co Laois, Kent, England and Dublin) 9th December 200, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of St. Mary-Theresa’s Ward, St Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit, Co Laois, beloved Mum of Jason and loving Nan of Shaun and Caiden; she will be very sadly missed by her loving sons, Jason’s partner Katie, grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends both near and far.
Reposing on Sunday from 2pm-4pm at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, 100 Terenure Road North. Funeral to take place on Monday afternoon at 3.45pm in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. (followed by cremation). Family flowers only please donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.

Elizabeth (Betty) Byrne (née Hurley), Ballickmoyler, Co. Carlow and formerly Ballylinan, Co Laois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 8th, 2022, under the loving care of the nurses and Staff at St Brigid’s Nursing Home, Shaen, Portlaoise, Co Laois.
Beloved wife of Peter, much loved mother of Colette, Claire, Marie, Michael and Anne, adored grandmother of Darragh, Ciaran, Ben, Jamie, Ella, Jessica, Dylan and Mikey and beloved great-grandmother of Aliyah and Mason.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Paddy, Philip, Johnny and Tony, daughter-in-law Paula, Darragh’s partner Katie, sister Kitty, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow, from 4pm on Friday with prayers at 9pm. Removal on Saturday at 2pm to The Church of the Sacred Heart, Arles, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bridget Carpenter, Farnans, Wolfhill, Co. Laois. After a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by her twin sister, Sheila.
Will be sadly missed by her loving parents Mary and James, sister Rosemary, brothers Séamus and Denis, sister-in-law Karina, brother-in-law Kieran, adored nieces Niamh, Hannah and Abbey, treasured nephew Conor, her loving Uncle Jim, family, friends, neighbours and colleagues.Late of Scoil Ruáin, Killenaule, Co. Tipperary.
Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Barrack St., on Friday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Abban’s Church, Doonane,(Eircode R93 AT86) followed by Funeral to Arles Cemetery for Burial.

Died 7th of December peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose, son Aengus, sister Nellie, brother Billy and daughter-in-law Brenda. Deeply regretted by his wife, Ann. Much loved Dad to John, Patrick, Michael, Roseann, William and Mark. Mick will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Oisín, Amy, Hannah, Eoin, Adam, Ella, Billy, Ellen, Leah, Darcie, Millie and Anna, his daughters-in-law Louise, Miriam, Helen and Róisín, son-in-law Gearóid, sister Bridie, extended family and friends.
Reposing in his home (R32443) on Friday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm. Funeral arriving Church of The Assumption The Heath on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.
