The Laois senior hurling championship is upon us.
And to look ahead to the action, Steven is joined on this week’s Talking Sport Podcast by former Camross manager Arien Delaney.
Delaney guided Camross to county final glory in 2013 and 2017 during his five-year spell in charge, as well as reaching county finals in 2014 and 2015.
As well as chatting about the sheer love of hurling in Camross, he also talks about his managerial career since finishing up in his role with the club.
He’s now managing Belmont in Offaly, who has guided to two wins in the opening two rounds of this year’s championship, and previously had spells over Shinrone in Offaly as well as Tipperary club Burgess.
He compares the club game in the three counties as well as drawing attention to the high standard of Laois coaches and managers.
Most importantly we preview this weekend’s games, discuss all eight senior teams and attempt to predict who will be the 2022 Laois senior hurling champions.
