They relocated to a more spacious site in Ballybrittas, Co. Laois that has remained the home of Škoda in the midlands to this day.
In 1998 the Škoda Octavia was introduced and was a turning point in the brand’s history in Ireland.
Commenting John Donegan, Škoda Ireland Brand Director said, “Škoda enjoys the success we have in Ireland today because of the early pioneering dealers like Pat Keogh Car Sales.
“Their hard work, throughout the years and excellent customer service established the foundations of what the Škoda brand is built on.”
Pat’s wife Rose and son and daughter Wayne and Lindsay are actively involved in the business today that has expanded significantly to employ 18 employees and now offers services such as financial products and even motor homes.
A new showroom development was complete in 2015 to accommodate the arrival of the new SUV line up such as the ŠKODA Kodiaq and Karoq.
Commenting Pat Keogh said: ”It has been a pleasure serving the local community for the last 36 years.
“We have a loyal group of Škoda customers that I would like to thank for their support over the last 25 years.
“We are delighted now to have our doors open once again and welcome back both existing and new customers to our showroom. We are confident that next 25 years with Škoda will be as successful as the last.”
