Patrick better known as Markey Coss, Twoomey Park, Mountmellick. Died November 5th 2021.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary and daughters Patricia Catterall (England), Alice Jones (England), Michelle Dunne (Ballybrittas), and Orla, brothers Brendan, Michael, Eddie, Peter (Galway), and Raymond (Portarlington), nieces and nephews, sons in law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, neighbours, relatives and his many friends Rest in Peace

Late of St. Helens Lancashire England.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Martina, daughter Sharon, son Martin and his partner Richard, son-in-law Eoin, grandchildren Marty and Malachy, brother John, sister Carol, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral arriving to Newlands Cross Crematorium for 1pm service on Monday the 8th November.

Mary Morris (née Carroll)
The Grange, Borris Rd, Portlaoise, Laois

Beloved wife of John and much loved mother of David, Owen, Laura, Hugh and Anna. deeply regretted by her loving family, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces & nephews, relatives & friends.

Reposing at her home on Monday from 1pm to 7pm with Rosary recital at 7. Removal on Tuesday to St Peter & Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.

Please adhere to current government guidelines regarding social distancing and mask wearing.

Noel Ryan
Factory Street, Mountrath, Laois

Noel Ryan, Factory Street, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 5th November 2021, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, recently predeceased by his son Noel and brother Martin. Beloved husband of Helen and dear father to Kelly and Donal, deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, daughter, son, grandchildren Fayé and Thomas, Donal’s partner Heather, sisters Mary and Kathleen, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath this Saturday and Sunday evening from 6 o’clock with Rosary at 8 o’clock each evening (all those attending are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines). Removal on Monday morning at 9.20 a.m. from his home (Factory Street), to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath (eircode R32 EC61), for Requiem Mass at 10 o’clock, (under new government guidelines the capacity is limited to 50%), followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

David Brickley
Main St., Clonaslee, Laois

David Brickley, Main St, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died on the 5th of November 2021, unexpectedly, but peacefully, at the residence of his daughter Louise (Knockarlow, Clareen, Co. Offaly). Predeceased by his father P.D., his mother Alice and his sister Geraldine. Loving father to Patrick and Louise, brother to Frank, John and Helen, adored grandfather to Allanah, David, Ellen, John and Annie, great friend to son-in-law Colm and daughter-in-law Donna, brother-in-law Ronan and sister-in-law Pauline. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, Kate Brickley and his many great friends.

Reposing at the residence of his daughter Louise on Saturday from 2-8pm for those who feel comfortable to attend. Due to Covid guidelines, mask wearing, hand sanitisation and social distancing is respectfully requested by those in attendance. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 2pm in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. (with 50% church capacity).

David’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting county Laois. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Renal Dialysis Patient Comfort Fund, Regional Hospital Tullamore. House Strictly Private on Sunday morning please, for family time.

David’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time.

Derrymore, Portarlington, Laois / Abbeyleix, Laois

Formerly of Tonduff, Abbeyleix. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Sadly missed by his wife Angela, son Nigel, daughters Mairead, Gemma, Catriona, Patrice, Sinead and Sarah, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Saturday from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Reposing on Sunday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm (please wear face coverings and adhere to social distancing guidelines). Removal on Monday at 9.15am, arriving to St Michael’s Church, Portarlington, for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Patrick’s Cemetery, Abbeyleix, arriving at 12.15pm.

Fennell, Celsus (Castleknock, Dublin 15, and Navan Road, Dublin 7 and formerly of Portlaoise, Co. Laois) November 5th., 2021 (peacefully) after a short illness and in the loving care of the staff at The Bons Secour Hospital, Glasnevin. Beloved husband of Valerie (Val) and much loved father of David and Anne; sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, grandchildren Connor, Darragh, Laoise, Eoin, John, Ciaran, Ruari and Aoibhinn, son-in-law Dermot, daughter-in-law Rachel, brother Gay, sisters Pam, Joan, Katherine and Dolores, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cunninghams Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Monday evening (November 8th) between 6 pm and 8 pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (November 9th) to the Church of Our Lady Help of Christian, Navan Road arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Predeceased by her loving husband Thomas, Patricia deeply loved Mother of Rosemary, Paula, June, Noel & Michael. Cherished Mother in Law to Vince, Michael, Mary, and Janeen. Sadly missed grandmother to Lisa, Paul, Cliona, Donagh, Thomas, Eoin, Emma, Darren, Dean, Mike, Cian, and Eddie and great-grandmother to Amie, Aela, Culann, and Amelia.

Funeral arriving Saturday SS Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. House strictly private please, people are welcome to the church and graveyard. Please adhere to all COVID19 Restrictions regarding face masks, handshaking, and social distancing while attending the funeral.

And St. Vincent’s Hospital Mountmellick. Annie died peacefully at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Deeply regretted by her loving husband George, daughter Ann-Marie, sons Edward, George-Francis, Gerard and his partner Ann-Marie, brother Billy, sister Nonie, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix on Friday from 6 pm. with recital of the Rosary at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 10.30 am. in The Church of The Most Holy Rosary. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Banagher, Offaly/Portarlington, Laois

Late of Bracklone Street, Portarlington, County Laois and ex Irish Army Q.M.S. Peacefully, at St James’s Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted by his loving partner Kathleen, son Nigel and his wife Nichola, daughter Michelle and her partner Eddie, grandchildren Michaela, Devan, William and Conor, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington, on Sunday (7th November) from 4pm with rosary at 6pm (please wear face coverings and adhere to Social Distancing guidelines).

Removal on Monday (8th November, travelling via Bracklone Street) at 11:20am arriving at St John’s Church, Killenard, Portarlington, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. No flowers, please.
