This looked like a great month – and what a brilliant initiative!
Wellbeing and the promotion of positive mental health has always been a key element of life in Clonaslee College and this was clearly evident during the month of October.
Students and staff of Clonaslee College took part in ‘Funtober’ in partnership with Laois Connects.
This year their Positive Mental Health Awareness campaign and activities took place throughout the full month of October.
All years groups participated in a range of activities including non-uniform day, no homework Tuesday, hot chocolate morning, movie afternoon, first year retreats to Castletown, sixth year adventure excursions to Lilliput, fifth year mentoring activities with first years, funky sock day, Halloween fancy dress, Jigsaw Mental Health talk for transition year students and poster competitions to name but a few.
Staff and student fully enjoyed the range activities on offer.
Have a look at some of students and staff enjoying ‘Funtober’ and keep an eye on Clonaslee College’s Instagram and Twitter pages for updates.
