Laois County Council have agreed to sell four pieces of land to members of the public.
At a recent meeting of Laois County Council, Councillors were asked to consider the disposal of land in Wolfhill, Portlaoise and Graiguecullen – which they approved.
A site of 0.683 hectares at Fairmount in the townland of Doonane was sold to Mr George Brophy, Wolfhill, for €35,000.
This was proposed by Councillor John Joe Fennelly and seconded by Councillor Aisling Moran.
A freehold of 0.0169 hectares at 11 Marian Avenue in the townland of Clonminam to Mr Anthony Ryan, 11 Marian Avenue, Portlaoise was sold for €300.
This was proposed by Councillor Willie Aird and seconded by Councillor Caroline Dwane-Stanley.
€300 was also the price agreed for a freehold of 0.0152 hectares of land at 55 O’ Moore Place, Portlaoise in the townland of Maryborough, to Mr Andrii Antoniuk.
This was proposed by Councillor Caroline Dwane-Stanley and seconded by Councillor Thomasina Connell.
Finally, a freehold comprising of 0.0144 hectares of land at 32 Brotherton, Sleaty Road, Graiguecullen, was sold to Mr Timothy O’Donoghue for €1.
This was proposed by Councillor Ben Brennan and seconded by Councillor Aisling Moran.
