It was another busy week of local GAA action as the delayed 2020 seasons resumed with the two senior football championship semi-finals as well as the Junior ‘B’ final.
The Laois ladies footballers booked their place in the All Ireland intermediate championship semi-final while there was also a Division 2 league football final and a Division 1A relegation playoff to look back at.
First up Steven and Alan chat about the 2020 Laois SFC semi-finals where Graiguecullen were impressive and deserved winners over Emo on Friday night.
Can Graigue now finish off the job and win a first senior title since 1965? Or are Port going to be too strong? They were comfortable winners over Ballyfin in the other semi-final on Saturday night.
Spink claimed championship glory with their win over Graiguecullen in the 2020 Junior ‘B’ final on Sunday morning while Rosenallis got the better of Mountmellick in a very entertaining Division 2 football league final, also on Sunday.
Steven and Alan were both in Kinnegad to look at the Laois ladies football team take on Louth in the All Ireland quarter-final and while they weren’t as impressive as they had been in the earlier rounds, they did get the win with a bit to spare.
They are now have an All Ireland semi-final against Wexford to look forward to next Sunday, which is looking like will clash with the senior county final.
